The best landing spot changes every season as Epic Games updates the map. In Chapter 7 the general principle stays the same — named locations have guaranteed chest spawns and structured loot paths, while open fields have random floor loot and no cover. As you get more comfortable with the map, you’ll develop a rotation route from your landing spot to the final circle that becomes your default game plan each match.

Landing Spot Strategy by Playstyle
For loot and survival: land at mid-sized named locations away from the bus path — less competition, good loot. For kills and XP: land at the biggest named POI on the bus path. For quests: land wherever your active quest sends you. Never land in the open field — always aim for buildings.

Survival / placement focus — land far from the bus path. The further from the bus route, the fewer players land near you. Pick a named location on the edge of the map, loot quietly and rotate toward the circle. Best for leveling up and completing quests without dying early.

Kill focus — land at the hottest POI on the bus path. The largest named location directly under the bus path gets the most players. High risk, high reward — good for practicing combat and completing elimination quests fast.

Quest focus — follow the quest marker. If you have an active quest in a specific location, land there directly. Completing quests mid-match saves time and XP adds up much faster than aimless matches.

Balanced approach — mid-map named location, slightly off bus path. This is the best all-round strategy. You get decent loot, fewer early fights and a good position to rotate from. Works for all playstyles and is the most consistent way to finish in the top 10.
