Curing zombie villagers is one of the most powerful mechanics in Minecraft, especially when combined with
villages and trading systems. A cured villager offers trades at a huge discount — sometimes just 1 emerald for items that normally cost 20+. If you cure multiple villagers in the same village, all villagers nearby also give you a small reputation bonus, making trading even cheaper across the board.

Throw a Splash Potion of Weakness at the zombie villager, then right-click it with a Golden Apple. Wait 2-5 minutes and it becomes a normal villager. This also gives you a permanent trading discount from that villager.

Find a zombie villager. They look like zombies but wear villager clothes. They spawn naturally at night or when a zombie kills a villager (100% chance on Hard difficulty).

Trap it so it doesn’t burn in sunlight. Build a shelter around it or do this at night. Zombie villagers die in sunlight just like regular zombies.

Craft a Splash Potion of Weakness. You need: Fermented Spider Eye + Water Bottle = Potion of Weakness. Then add Gunpowder to make it a Splash Potion. Requires a Brewing Stand.

Throw the Splash Potion of Weakness directly at the zombie villager. You’ll see grey swirling particles appear around it — that means it worked.

Right-click the zombie villager with a Golden Apple. Craft it with 1 Apple + 8 Gold Ingots. You’ll hear a hissing sound confirming the cure started.

Wait 2-5 minutes. The villager shakes and makes noise during conversion. Keep it safe and away from sunlight. When it stops shaking it’s fully cured.
