How to Get to Nokron Eternal City in Elden Ring
Tips Before Exploring Nokron
Nokron, Eternal City is one of the most visually striking areas in Elden Ring — a vast underground city frozen in time, filled with unique architecture and starlit skies. It also becomes one of the most important optional regions after you beat Radahn, especially if you are following Ranni’s questline. The Fingerslayer Blade found here is a key item for that quest, so Nokron is not just optional exploration — it is a major progression area for one of the game’s most important endings.

How to Reach Nokron Step by Step
If you want to get to Nokron, Eternal City in Elden Ring, you must defeat Starscourge Radahn first. His death causes a meteor to crash into Limgrave, opening a huge crater in southern Mistwood in East Limgrave, east of the Minor Erdtree. Jump down into the hole and follow the descent path to enter Nokron. There is no other way to access the area.

Defeat Starscourge Radahn. Radahn is accessed via Redmane Castle in southeastern Caelid. His defeat triggers a cutscene of a meteor crashing into Limgrave and opening the path to Nokron. If you have not beaten him yet, follow this guide on how to beat Radahn in Elden Ring. This is the only requirement — no quest or NPC interaction is needed.

Find the meteor crater in East Limgrave. Travel to the Mistwood area in East Limgrave. The crater is southeast of the Mistwood Ruins, near the Fort Haight area. It’s a large circular hole in the ground surrounded by destroyed terrain. Easy to spot from a distance on Torrent.

Drop down carefully into the crater. The drop is long but survivable if you land on ledges as you descend. Don’t jump straight down — hug the walls and look for ledges to break your fall. Torrent cannot be summoned in this area.

Follow the path into Nokron. At the bottom of the crater you’ll find a ruined area leading into the underground city. Activate the Site of Grace at the Nokron, Eternal City entrance as soon as you find it — the area is long and has no shortcuts back to the crater entrance.

Explore for Larval Tears and unique items. Nokron contains multiple Larval Tears used for respeccing, the Mimic Tear boss fight, and the Fingerslayer Blade needed for Ranni’s questline. Bring plenty of Rune Arcs and healing items — Nokron is a full dungeon with tough enemies and several minibosses before the main boss.

The Mimic Tear boss in Nokron is easiest to defeat by unequipping all your gear before entering the fog gate — your Mimic copy will spawn with no equipment and deal no damage.

Nokron connects to Siofra Aqueduct and then to Deeproot Depths — it’s a long underground chain of areas worth fully exploring for lore and items.
